
Just a friendly reminder...today is the Mother's Day Plant Sale hosted by The Kindness Act during lunch periods. Feel free to stop by and show support!

The Kindness Act will be having a plant sale on May 4th and May 5th during lunch periods. Succulents and Spider Plants are $5 each. A small assortment of herbs and flowers will also be available for $3 and $2. Makes a great gift for Mother's Day!


A fun competition last week in Physics! And the winners were Diamond in 2nd period and Malcolm in 5th period! Their plastic straw bridges supported the most weight. Way to go!



The elementary students enjoyed building their garden and filling it with yummy veggies that we will grow and enjoy. The students also took the time to paint their own bird houses that we will place outside with bird food now that the weather is warmer!

As a part of celebrating Women's History Month, our students and staff hosted a Women's Tea Party to empower, inspire and share with one another. There were poetry readings and an awards ceremony coupled with fresh pastries and hot tea for all to enjoy!





Transition students had a great experience at the Local Union 825 tour in New Hampton, NY. Students were able to operate construction vehicles through a simulator and had a chance to even operate an excavator! Check out more pictures and video on the Transition/CDOS page.



Clay and smiles are just spinning in the art room! We got out our kick power potter's wheel [it is a manual wheel] and the kids have been having a blast with it! We are working our muscles and flexing our skills, creatively!

**EVENT UPDATE** The car wash which will be hosted by the senior committee will be postponed until Friday, April 8th due to inclement weather.

The Senior Committee will be hosting a car wash on Friday, April 1st. This will be an all day event and proceeds will help to raise money for the senior class and other senior events. If you have any questions contact Mrs. Virgadamo.

Last week, our gentlemen collaborated and decided to dress up and wear button down shirts with ties. It was an event to show support during the women's month celebration. Check out some pictures below!

Have you ever painted a ceiling tile? Students just got done painting some ceiling tiles to be on permanent display at school. If you come to visit our school, be sure to look up and check the paintings out. ;)

Our newly formed group, The Kindness Act, will be hosting a St. Patrick's Day bake sale this Wednesday, March 16 during lunch periods 5 and 6. This event will help to support the group and fundraise for future events such as birthday celebrations, retirements, bereavements and more. Please stop by and show your support!

Students participated in the GNC Unified Bowling Event last week in which all four academies from the district were represented. All participants enjoyed the friendly competition. However, Reach Academy won the championship and took home the trophy. Congratulations and thank you to all bowlers, coaches, and staff involved!
