A student poses with his teacher and aide in front of holiday cookies that they made together for the school

On Thursday December 22nd, the REACH Academy held our monthly PBIS celebration for the month of December. The theme of December was "community" and some of the behaviors that are exemplary of this are: acting with kindness and friendship, working together, encouraging others, being a good and helpful citizen and asking for help when needed. This month both students and staff who were excellent members of the community were awarded with gift baskets. However this month was extra special because every student in the school was specifically acknowledged with a goodie bag for their acts of hard work and kindness in the community.  After the ceremony, everyone in the building enjoyed homemade baked goods which were made by Ms. Sheridan's team and the REACH Academy life and vocational classes. Special thanks to the PBIS, Transition and Life & Vocational teams for all their hard work!
