On Friday, December 2nd, the REACH Academy held our monthly PBIS event (positive behavioral support and intervention) for the month of November. The theme of November was "acting safely" and some of the behaviors that are exemplary of this are: following directions, keep clear of doorways, use calm areas appropriately, remain with the group in an assigned location, wait your turn, be aware of your surroundings and following safety rules in the community. Both students and staff that were excellent models for acting safely in November were awarded with gift baskets. November birthdays were also celebrated. After the ceremony the students enjoyed a dance party followed by pizza and homemade sugar cookies and desserts.
